Network Administrator

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Seeking qualified applicants for the position of Network Administrator. The Network Administrators responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing on safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives. The candidate will work with the Team to set goals and continually look for ways to cut costs and increase performance of the enterprise. Candidate must be able to work on an as needed basis, including nights and weekends.
PREREQUISITES:
1. Supervisor and/or manager recommendation
2. Experience managing SAN infrastructure
3. Experience with Cisco routers and switches, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and multiple types of firewalls and VPNs
4. Experience with Windows domain structures, directory services, replication, authentication
SELECTION CRITERIA:
1. Proven leadership experience with a team and ability to deal with all personnel at all levels of the organization
2. Demonstrated outstanding written and verbal communication skills
3. Organized, goal-oriented, results driven with minimum supervision and excellent time management skills
4. Considerable knowledge of automated processes within the steel environment
5. Proven experience with a large campus network with excellent documentation and methodical problem solving skills
6. Network access management skills using tools such as Solarwinds or comparable
7. Ability to establish standards, policies and procedures, develop and manage system security and data integrity
PREFERENCES:
1. B.S. or B.A. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
2. Linux experience is a plus
3. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred
