NTP- Automation Engineer at Nucor Corporation in Trinity, AL

Nucor Tubular Products- Trinity is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Automation Engineer. This role will be responsible for working with the Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance and Production teams to maintain and optimize the Mill processes. This will include using engineering principles, algorithms and techniques to trouble-shoot and improve both the process and equipment and to develop/implement future improvement plans. The successful candidate will be required to have knowledge of both hardware and software and will occasionally be required to provide additional support outside normal business hours. Additionally, they will be required to develop computer programming skills, network management skills, as well as learn to manage, maintain, edit large databases and other needed skills to advance knowledge in the areas of Process Control, as well as other duties as assigned. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge and experience of PLC, both Allen Bradley and Siemens 10 years automation experience in manufacturing environment Pipe mill automation experience Electrical engineering degree Preferred
Qualifications:
Specific knowledge and experience using Siemens PLC Step 7 PLC
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Industrial Engineering, Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
