Summary:
Set up slitting arbors, overarm and underarm separators for the slitters.
Essential Functions:
1.
Complies with all safety rules for personnel and facility protection as defined in the Hourly Employee Manual.
2.
Complies with the attendance requirements as defined in the Attendance Policy in the Hourly Employee Manual.
3.
Performs work as directed by the Slitter Operator.
4.
Obtains highest priority CHARTS(S) and setup requirements.
5.
Set up slitting arbors.
6.
Set up underarm/overarm separators.
7.
When properly trained, may perform functions assigned to and usually performed by the operator.
8.
Perform any work required by plant management.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees are standing/walking 100% of time; lifting up to 50 lbs.
as needed; climbing stairs to operator platform; reading charts, tags and written procedures; printing or writing legibly to complete all required paperwork; and measuring material as required.
METHODS, TECHNIQUES, PROCEDURES:
Follows Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in the Training Matrix.
EQUIPMENT, AIDS, TOOLS:
Must be able to use a band breaker, pneumatic bander/crimper, hand bander, hand cutters, staple gun, electric shears and nibblers; jib crane, calipers, micrometer, calculator, ID/OD calculator, tape measure, and a pneumatic impact wrench.
Must have a good understanding of fractions and decimals.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
